ELECTIONS: 2018 NEA RA RETIRED CANDIDATES AND CEA RA RETIRED ELECTED DELEGATES

Printed below are the official candidate statements and photographs for retired candidates seeking election to the NEA RA. Candidate statements are printed as received. CEA-Retired members can vote for six candidates in the NEA RA Retired election. CEA RA retired candidates for the CEA RA were declared elected for one-year terms by the CEA Elections Committee, as no election was needed.

DELEGATE ELECTIONS AND TERMS

• Candidates who receive the highest number of votes in the retired election for the NEA RA will be declared elected for two-year terms. • Candidates who receive the next-highest number of votes following the election of the delegates will be declared successor delegates.

5. Pat Jordan A former CEA officer, NEA Director and County Director, I have always served you well. I will speak with a strong voice in your best interest.. Please vote for me, thank you! 6. Mary-Beth Lang I continue to be a strong voice for teachers-retired and active-through political action and lobbying. I work to protect our pensions, health benefits and educational funding. 7. William Murray Your retirement issues are my top priority. I represent you as your Vice President, member of the Investment Council and the TRB. I ask for your continued support. 8. Karen O’Connell I am passionate about the future of education as well as securing our pension and health benefits.I would like to continue advocating on your behalf. 5. Pat Jordan I would love to represent you at the CEA RA. I have been a CEA officer, NEA Director and County Director. I will speak on your behalf and make sure your interests are heard 6.
